Favorite Pasta Sauce

28 oz. can whole tomatoes
1 onion, quartered
1 clove crushed garlic
1 carrot
5 tbs. olive oil
4-5 basil leaves (I use 4-5 squirts of squirt basil)
Salt & Pepper

Simmer all ingredients for 30 minutes. Then, puree in blender. Return to saucepan & heat again. Serve over your favorite pasta. (I love whole wheat penne)

This is sooo good. I make it about once a week all winter long.

  1. I made this tonight and we all really liked it. Joseph had about 10 baby-sized servings. I think next time I will cut the olive oil down to 1/4 c-- it was a little strong for me.
